What is the typical Class size?
Classes in the Lower School range between 16 and 18 students
with two teachers
per classroom in the PK. We care to provide
a classroom experience that recognizes different learning styles
and honors achievement that is both individualized and collaborative.
The low Student to Teacher ratio allows the classroom teacher
to
foster the strengths and passions of each child in their care.

We begin accepting applications in the Fall of the preceding
academic year. It is to your advantage to begin the process early
enough to insure a thorough and thoughtful opportunity for gathering
information and determining fit. Admission is on a rolling basis
and the process continues throughout the year until classes are
full and a wait pool is developed.

Define the
Role of the Parent Community.
Parents are strongly encouraged to become partners in their child’s
education as
shared knowledge leads to a successful school experience. All
parents are members of the Parent Board and opportunities to volunteer within the
classroom and within the broader Liggett community are available. We warmly welcome parent
involvement to the extent that it is convenient and appropriate for each
family.

Is Financial Aid available?
Consideration for financial assistance is on a case by case basis
for families of Full-
Day Kindergarten students on up. We are committed to providing
a Liggett education
to capable students and their families from all over the metropolitan
area. Our
financial aid program assists talented students who, for financial
reasons, could not
otherwise attend Liggett. All families are expected to contribute
a portion of the cost
of their child’s education and we pledge to fully discuss
the expectations and cost of
excellence in our educational environment. |
